Three steps.
Then you’re in.

The calculator provides a starting suggestion for riders who are unsure of their handicap mark. It is not a test and it does not lock in your final bunch. Answer honestly, remember the suggested mark, then complete the official entry form.

Step 01

Find your mark

Answer six quick questions about your current riding, speed and bunch experience.

Step 02

Remember the result

Keep the suggested mark handy so you can include it with your official entry details.

Step 03

Submit your entry

Complete the Jotform, check your details and secure your place in the field.

01 / Quick handicap calculator

Where should you start?

Answer all six questions using your normal riding—not your best-ever day with a tailwind. The goal is a safe, competitive starting bunch that gives you a genuine race.

1. How often are you riding?

Choose what a normal week currently looks like.

2. Your longest recent ride?

Think about the last four weeks.

3. Your normal average speed?

Use your last four or five ordinary road rides.

4. Your bunch-riding experience?

Drafting, holding a wheel and smooth rotations.

5. What happens on a short climb?

Think of a steady five-to-ten-minute effort.

6. Confidence above 40 km/h?

How do you feel when the bunch is moving quickly?

Final handicaps may be adjusted by the race team.

02 / Official race entry

Put your name on the list.

Complete every required field and check your contact details carefully. If you used the calculator, enter the suggested mark when the form asks about grading or handicap information.

Entry is not complete until the form has been submitted successfully. Early bird entry is $35 until Sunday 20 September 2026. Standard entry is $49.
03 / Before you submit

Know what you are entering.

Open roads

NZ road rules always apply.

Marshals guide and warn; they do not stop traffic. Stay left, hold your line and give way whenever required.

Fitness and experience

Arrive ready for 100 km.

You should be comfortable riding safely in a moving bunch and prepared for fast roads, rolling terrain and sustained effort.

Final information

Read the race manual.

Final sign-on times, briefing information, course notices and event requirements will be confirmed closer to race day.
